Job Overview:We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Seasonal Part-Time School Cook to join our team! This position offers an exciting opportunity to prepare nutritious meals for students while allowing for some creativity in the kitchen. You’ll play a vital role in fostering a welcoming environment and ensuring children receive delicious, well-balanced meals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare lunch items according to school guidelines.
• Follow established menus while incorporating creativity where appropriate.
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and serving areas.
• Work efficiently to meet meal preparation and serving schedules.
• Follow directions from the kitchen supervisor.
• Interact positively with students and staff, contributing to a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen work.
• Experience with large batch cooking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• A self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to follow directions.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
